Hi, need some help on lancer GLX on have more power and saving fuel.

Hi I'm Aaron here, i am driving a auto lancer GLX for almost 4 month. .
My full tank can only runs about 400km to 420km the most. Is it because of 2 amplifiers? My friend told me that grounding cable stablizer is able to minimise the fuel consumption is it true? But i did install a grounding cable stablizer but still can't help at all.

I went to a garage at ubi before, one of the sales stuff told me that i can actually change the crank pully to a lighter, and can help me gain more power and can help up in saving fuel consumption also?

I saw it on hot stuff install a nano ball may help saving fuel consumption and gain power for the car i thought install it.

can anybody advise me?

Hi,

is yours the 1.6 Lancer CS3? If you are looking at improving the power of your car, I will certainly recommend you to consider ECU tuning. This is the only way you can improve your throttle response, power and torque on your car. I specialise in setting up Unichip and tuning. Let me know if you are interested.

Hi Aaron,

I am driving a Lancer EX myself so cannot comment much about GLX model.

Replacing your stock filter to aftermarket drop-in filter and lighten crank pully will improve ur pickup responsiveness. If u are a light modder, after the above 2 mods, u can go for unichip tuning for power gain and fuel consumption improvement. If u are a heavy modder, finish all necessary mods then lastly go for unichip tuning.

i'm driving a glx too... and i too find the same problem as you... juz wondering how much will it cost to change ecu and go for tunning..=)

hello there bros... I am also driving an AUTO MIT LANCER GLX 1.6. I also have the same probs. Pick-up sux and petrol is average. If i wanna go for the drop in filter and unichip tuning, hw to contact u and what is the price range? I will definitely need to get one for myself.

Hi Mit Bro,

3 things to improve performance, you will need good i.e. right amount of Air (o2) Fuel and firing sequence (Voltage / Flame stability). Either one missing is not good and waste of money to Mod your engine perf.

My current Mit Glx 2 years old is second to none for perf.
1) 0 to 100km in 7 secs
2) Urban driving is between 11 to 12km/l
Highway is 13 km/l.

Changes:
1) Carbon Air filter, sec cold air intake.
2) Cyclone 3 x 7.
3) Sebring Exhaust ( LTA approved)
4) Power coil (50kv) & Iridium spark plug.
5) CDI X 4
6) Fuel Bank x 3
7) Broquet Top Fueller.
